Bio-Ethanol
Fuel From Cereals
Satake's know-how and expertise for building large scale cereal
processing plants is finding new applications in the bio-ethanol industry.
We have developed our maize (corn) Dry Fractionation
processing technology
specifically for the bio-ethanol process. Over 100 million gallons
of ethanol per year is produced using the Satake Dry Fractionation
Process and the figure is growing...
Satake's PeriTec Debranning Technology is applied to remove the bran
and husk from grains such as wheat, barley and sorghum to maximise the fermentable
product entering the wet processing system and increasing the value
of the spent grain products (DGS & DDGS).
We also provide high capacity cleaning, grinding (rollermill and
hammer milling), silo/storage and mechanical handling systems.
The end of the ethanol plant, Satake's pelleting
technology is processing the non-fermentable residues obtained from
the ethanol process. These DDGS or Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles
represent a high value, high protein animal feed co-product from the
ethanol plant.
Satake are engaged in the the construction of
Australia's largest cereal based bio-ethanol plants.
