Satake Australia Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier of grain handling, storage and processing equipment across Australia and Oceania. We are seeking a motivated Painter to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing high-quality finishes, and wants to develop their skills within a supportive manufacturing environment. The role is supervised by the Production Supervisor.
About the Role
As a Painter, you will prepare, paint and finish components and assemblies used in the manufacture of agricultural and industrial equipment. You will also assist with general production activities, maintain a safe and organised workplace, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality products.
This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare components and assemblies for painting.
· Mix paints and coating materials to required specifications.
· Apply paints and protective coatings using appropriate equipment and techniques.
· Plan painting activities and prepare work areas.
· Operate painting equipment safely and efficiently.
· Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are achieved.
· Report equipment faults, defective products and material shortages.
· Maintain clean and organised work areas and equipment.
· Assist with general production and labouring duties as required.
· Follow all company quality, safety and environmental procedures and work collaboratively with the production team.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
· Certificate III in Painting & Decorating or equivalent, or experience in lieu
· At least 1 year experience painting industrial or commercial buildings and structures
· A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
· The ability to follow instructions and learn new skills.
· Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasks.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Sound time management and organisational skills.
· A current driver's licence is desirable.
